國道1號南向38.5K、林口路段處，8日上午7時43分許有一輛自小客車發生火燒車意外，白煙狂竄，造成車輛回堵2公里。警消人員獲報後趕抵，立即架設水線灌救，整輛車燒得焦黑，詳細起火原因有待調查釐清。據了解，目前該路段時速「紫爆」，時速僅剩14公里。
