五十六歲林姓男子連假首日到朋友家喝酒，三日凌晨酒駕行經台中市南區時疑似失控，撞上路邊一處消防栓，導致大量自來水噴出，造成現場一度淹水。警方獲報到場時，林男坐在路邊發呆，吹酒測器吹了十次都沒感應，直到警消將他送醫，在醫院才測得酒測值零點六一毫克，所幸沒有釀其他人受傷，警詢後依公共危險罪嫌送辦。
台中第三警分局昨日凌晨四時十分獲報，南區建國南路一段、文心路口有車禍，到場發現一輛白色休旅車卡在路邊，車頭版金掉落，一旁還冒出類似噴泉的大量水柱，經確認是林失控後車輛撞上消防栓。
警方當場對林男進行酒測，但現場測了將近十次都沒有結果，又因林男稱身體不適，因此將他先行送醫救治，就醫後測得酒測值零點六一毫克，明顯超標，全案依公共危險罪函請台中地檢署偵辦。
